Today while out on a walk with Brady at the Bellamy River Wildlife Management Area, I decided to start a blog chronicling our adventures in nature. The name of this blog is inspired by the following quotation from Shakespeare's As You Like It:
"And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything."
I think that Brady and I will find lots of things, mostly good, during our explorations, and I hope that you will enjoy reading this nature-inspired blog.
And now, I'd like to introduce you to my partner-in-crime, Brady (as seen in photo above). He is a little over 7 months old, 50% Husky, and 50% yellow lab (our best guess about the lab part, Daddy was MIA when Brady's mom was found with her litter under a porch in Arkansas-his early beginnings are another story) .... but just look at him and tell me he doesn't look like a lab?!! His nicknames are Little Man, B-Man, Brady Bear, B-Bear, and BB. These may crop up in the blog at some point ... just want you to be familiar with the cast of characters. Said cast also includes yours truly, aka holder of the leash, purveyor of dog poop bags, and general slow human being (a la Meriwether Lewis, Brady prefers to be leader of our expeditions) and Darrin, Brady's favorite person. Guest appearances from time to time by assorted friends, furry and human. Enjoy!
